Ash took this pic of us.

Preston taking in Christmas Morning.

Ash running towards her presents and Grandma Ivie.

My cute girl!
We had a great Christmas Eve at my Parents. They made a great dinner and gave everyone presents. Ash loved loved loved the Barbie they got her and Preston loved Lance's present and Lance loved Preston's so they swapped it was funny!
We came home and watched a movie. Ashlynn didn't go to bed til midnight just too exited to sleep I guess. We got up about 8. My mom and dad came to see the kids open there presents this morning. So far today we just been playing with everything Santa brought. James is going to pull the kids around on the wheeler with the new double tube we they got.
We love to remember the birth of our Savior on this special day. We are grateful for everything we have and the blessings that come with what we have. I hope everyone remembers to keep Christ in "Christ"mas and always remember Jesus is the reason for Season.

We saw Santa!!

We had our Ivie family Christmas party tonight. We had fun visiting with everyone. Santa gave out treats and reindeer headbands. Ashlynn was a little nervous at first but she was being so brave she went up herself without any coaxing by me. Preston not so found of Santa yet, but he didn't scream so that's good.

Preston and Ashlynn's conversation.

Preston saw Ashlynn walk into the bathroom and he said poop. Ash in an annoyed voice said no pee. Nice little conversation. It probably was something you had to be there for to get but its a blog worthy moment for me.

Tired..

( warning boring post)
Life has been a little crazy these days. Poor James hasn't had a day off forever. He's working himself to the ground. I'm working 20 + hours a week and being mom. I didn't think it would wear on me but I think its starting to. I haven't had a Saturday off since I started working. That is the only day to get stuff done together with James, but its my money making day.
I got the job because James finally got an office job which meant he got off work by five. Before he would come home anywhere from 5-9 depending on the day. Anyways they just layed off people at his work so he had to take his old position back which means he works later at night. So he is always rushing to get home in time so I can get to work. When in all reality in one hour of his overtime is what I can make all night at work. Its not balancing out right and now I have this job. I don't know what to do. James can make more money than me so the smart thing for me to do is quit my job. I can work Saturdays still but then that's James and our family time to be taken away. What to do. What to do. I still want my job its great having extra money. We just need more time in a day I guess. In a nut shell thats whats going on with us. Sorry so boring.

This was funny to me!

I found this on one of my friends blog. I get a kick out of silly things like this. I know Im a nerd.

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet.He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him (Oh, man, this is SOBAD, it's good) a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Trick or Treat

We had a fun Halloween. Here's a picture right before we went out trick or treating. I layered the kids up to keep warm but surprisingly it was quite warm. I was close to sweating it is usually freezing on Halloween it was a perfect night. Ash had fun she was kind of shy and you could barely hear her say trick or treat. Preston was more fascinated by every ones pumpkins and landscaping. He was our little trick or treater in training this year. It took a while at each door step to climb up check out the pumpkins, pick a treat and he made sure to say by to everybody. Then to climb in and out of the stroller lay in the middle of the road You could tell he was having fun. Ashlynn's stopped for a minute and said her legs were hurting but we kept going. They both were real fun to watch last night.

What a ham. She had fun today with her class and they all brought treats for each other. She has dressed up all week, Tuesday we had our family party, Wednesday she got to dress up for dance and today she did for school and of course tomorrow for Halloween. She probably thinks Halloween is a week long party.

I had fun watching them have fun.

It's Gone Updated

Above 2 pics- Here is what I came up with. What do you think?

I'm devastated. Ashlynn finally found my scissors and cut away. Lets just say I bawled and bawled. I know hair grows back but Ashies hair was gorgeous. I'm so sad and I still will have to go shorter to blend things better. Here are some pics of the ruins.

What a day!

I was asked to sub Ashlynn's primary class today. I have taught her class before and its been rather amusing. I have know idea what happened today. Ashlynn decided to release her inner beast. It all started when we dropped Preston off at nursery. She wanted to stay and play with the toys. I had to explain that these toys were for babies and not 4 year olds. She practically made me chase her to get her to leave with me. I went to grab a hold of her and I accidently pulled her hair instead of her sweater. One of the teachers saw it I felt horrible. Finally I got her in my grip. I'm trying to hurry to primary so we can get to her class. She is whining the whole way. We were in the chapel because we were practicing for the primary program next week. She couldn't hold still, sitting upside down on her chair, taking her shoes off ,whining. Had to go potty, she was running through the halls. We came back to the chapel and she started running through the chairs in the back. I'm am completely embarrassed by now. I am totally frazzled too. We head on back to class and she decided to take a crayon to the chalk board and drew all over it she wouldn't listen to a word I would say. She would stick her tongue out at me. I felt as if my child was abusing me. I was trying to teach the class and discipline her at the same time. First of all that did not work at all. I felt bad for all the other kids in the class that were all being angels. True angels. They are so sweet. Why was my child being like that? I tried to teach the best I knew how and hopefully the lesson got through. I don't know what happened to her today. I feel like its all my fault and I'm a bad parent. The only thing I know she knew I was preoccupied with the class so she pushed my buttons. She does that when I'm doing someones hair at my house and she gets sneaky and into things because I cant give her 100 and 10 % of my attention. I'm so frustrated from today I just needed to vent. O Ash! Through all of that I still love you.
On a lighter note. I must share this. While I was teaching my lesson on reverence. I asked the kids in my class what are some things we shouldn't do at church. One of the kids said you shouldn't kick your brother at church. I agreed, and then the kid said I can only kick him at home.

WHERE IS ASH ?

It was 1:30 last night and James got up to go to the bathroom and he noticed Ashlynn's bedroom door was open. She always sleeps with her door shut. So James went to check on her. She was gone. He comes wakes me up. Where is Ash? First of all that Question didn't make sense after being sound asleep. Then we start frantically looking. 2 min goes by and there is no sign of Ash. 2 minutes feels like 2 hrs when your missing a child. James decided to go look out in the garage, nothing we are coming up empty handed. Now were rechecking places. I checked under her bed. James checked under our bed and there she was sound asleep.
When he first woke me up I felt like she was on the floor nest to my side of the bed. I felt her presence in the room but when panic set in things changed. My mom instincts were right I just needed to get down to the ground to find her. Its crazy how fear can change things and rattle you some. Its almost blinding and it makes it seem there is no way things can be accomplished. I'm just glad she is safe and sound. Talk about a Real nightmare. I love you Ash now don't ever do that again.

Just hanging around

Its been a while since Ive posted. We are all busy. Ashlynn is doing dance and preschool and seems to be enjoying it. She also has been playing on the computer a lot. She loves pbskids.org. I cant believe how big she is.
Preston has been learning his animal sounds and my favorite sound of his is the pig. He does a good bee too. He went to his well check on Friday and he is doing good. He was a big boy with the shots only cried for a second. He's being mommy helper and buddy at home.
James is not a driver at work anymore. He helps out with sales and office stuff. He has been doing side jobs too. He is a hard worker and our family is blessed he has many talents.
I just got a new job at a salon. I didn't want to but I wanted to get caught up on bills and get through Christmas without feeling stressed. It been a good job so far cant complain yet. I still do hair at my house for friends and family so I'm staying busy.

Happy 7th Anniversary James

We had a fun time this weekend. We left both our kids with G & G Ivie for the night.(thank you) We first went to dinner at Lonestar steakhouse which was really good and then we went bowling. We got to stay out late which was fun for a change! Then we went fishing the next morning up by mirror lake. I have never been up there before it is very pretty. There was this really pretty water fall called Provo River Falls up there we stopped at too. It was really fun! I wish every weekend was my anniversary.
James is my everything. We get along great we have the same humor. I love how we can still laugh and be silly with each other. We respect each other and are always making sure were both are happy. He is very talented and hardworking. I think we make cute babies together! He is a fun dad. I love his laugh. I love his eyes. I love his soft heart. He makes me feel good about myself. He is my own support system. We share the same goals in life. We like most of the same things. We are a great team together couldn't image it any other way. Thanks for the best 7 years of my life. I love you James

Sleepy heads

I love taking pictures of my kids when there asleep, we usually sleep in beds but last week I caught them both falling asleep in weird places. Preston fell asleep on dads chair one afternoon and I love how he has his truck in his hand. Ashlynn fell asleep on the computer chair in her lovely princess attire. Precious babes.
