Me and all my glory

Here goes the story of the gallbladder attack. I think I have had GB problems since after I had Preston I would get really bad pains every once in a while. They were always few and far between so I never went to the doctor. Then I had a couple of the GB pains when I was pregnant with Addison, I actually had a real bad attack a week before she was born I called the hospital and they said just drink a lot of water and rest. That episode lasted 4 hours of constant pain but it went away. Then last Sunday night at 3 a.m. the GB pain was back it lasted all through the night. All I could do was feed the baby and try to find comfort in bed. Through Monday it subsided some but it never went away totally then it just got worse and worse through the whole night. I took some percocet that maybe help a little but by 6 a.m. I was calling my mom to come stay with the kids so James can take me to the E.R. We took Addi with us cause I'm her source of food and then we get there and kids 14 and younger could not go back in the E.R. So I am all alone now 30 hours of pain later. First they drew blood. It came back the my white blood cell count was real high and I was running a fever and I was taken to get an ultra sound and I seen her write stone on the screen. I'm waiting for the results and communicating with James via texting. Then the doctor comes in and told me I need to have my GB taken out I was in bad condition and he doesn't let people leave in my condition. Then the tears start flowing I'm all alone, keep in mind we have no health insurance I don't know what to do. I was in so much pain that they were giving me some stuff that was supposibly stronger than morphine and it still wasn't helping. Anyways they finally let Addi and James come back because no one was in the E.R. with the flu at the time. We were scared about every thing the surgery and how to pay for it. We do have the option for Cobra and possibly medicaid so I don't think we have to pay for every thing hopefully. The outcome of the surgery was a really bad infected full of puss GB and it had a stone. I had to stay two nights in the hospital cause I had to have IV antibiotics to clear up the infection.
Anyways poor Addison was banned from me for 2 nights and for a baby that has never has a bottle I'm sure she was devastated but she seem to do alright. When I got home all I did was hold her for two days straight making up for lost time. She had James up till 4 in the morning the first night but the second night she slept well. James had Brian( My cuz) over for help the second night and they watched Mr. Mom together. James did great with the kids.
Thanks to everybody that helped me with the kids and who visited me in the hospital and brought in dinners. We are very blessed to have great family and great friends in our lives. It was not hard or stressful for us to come up with help it was right at our doorstep and we are truly grateful for that.

I am still waiting for the results of my tests. I haven't had an attack in a few days so that's good I guess!!!
